The Durban Wild Talk
Africa film festival and conference is an exhilarating,
inspirational and informative 5-day event which includes the
following elements:
Inspiring seminars:
A large part of the festival programme is dedicated to running
stimulating and inspiring seminars which cover valuable
discussion topics relevant to the wildlife, travel and cultural
film industry. The extensive programme which includes
interesting debates, informative discussions and pitching
sessions is well structured and planned to address cutting-edge
issues relevant to the industry. Key international and
well-known local speakers are approached and invited to sit on
panels and chair the seminars.
Informative
workshops:
A fundamental component of the programme are the workshop
sessions. The workshops allow for hands-on audience
participation in which delegates can be brought up to speed with
the latest technology, ideas and innovations. The workshops play
an important role of keeping the delegates abreast on the
ever-changing technical advances in the filmmaking industry.
These workshops are held by specialists and professionals in
their chosen field.
Interactive
exhibition area:
An interactive exhibition area, which can accommodate 40
exhibitors, creates the perfect platform for local and
international companies to showcase their latest products and
services to a unique targeted audience. This exclusive area is
extremely conducive for securing business deals and creating
brand awareness.
World class film
screenings:
Included in the programme is a selection of
award-winning films which are screened throughout the festival.
After the screening, where possible, respective filmmakers
interact in a valuable question and answer format with the
delegates, pertaining to the production of the film.
Enjoyable
evening networking events:
The fantastic evening social
networking events are a highlight for the delegate. Well-organised,
superlative and entertaining events, held at various locations
in Durban, are organized for each night of the festival and
allow the delegate the opportunity to network with other
delegates in an informal relaxed atmosphere.
Business Centre
and Internet Café:
A Business Centre and Internet Cafe, complete with all office
functionalities and access to the internet, offers an inclusive
service to all delegates and ensures that delegates can keep up
to date with the latest news.
The ROSCARS –
Awards ceremony:
A prestigious evening, dedicated to awarding filmmakers with
ROSCAR awards for their outstanding contributions to the natural
history industry, makes for a fitting tribute and is the finale
evening event on the festival programme.
