General safety advice

Public transport in Durban is not easy as there is no reliable public train or bus service. Therefore the best way to get from your hotel to the ICC Durban is to take a taxi or a shuttle.

It is advisable not to walk to your hotel or guest house from the ICC Durban after 6pm in the evening – you should rather take a taxi or a shuttle to your hotel.

If you are going to walk around Durban during the day, it is advisable not to have cameras and wallets openly visible.

Transport from the airport

If you have booked a hotel, confirm with your hotel a pick up time, a complimentary hotel shuttle bus is usually provided.

Alternatively, you can arrange your own transport via a shuttle (+- R70 per person) or a registered taxi from the airport.
